How should artwork be submitted?

When working with very large graphics, it is more convenient to work at a scale of 1 inch = 2 feet or 1/2 inch = 1 foot. If your image requires a bleed, provide a minimum of 3" bleed at actual size. For full pocket bleed on billboards, add an 8 inch bleed outside of the live image area.

What file types are acceptable?

Photoshop (.psd), Illustrator (.ai) or Acrobat (.pdf) files work the best. We accept DVD disks and CD’s.

What materials do you generally work with?

We work with mesh, vinyl flex, and paint.

Who provides the artwork for the locations?

The advertiser usually provides the artwork for the location(s) they lease. However, we do have an in house full service art department that can design your campaign.

What types of units are available from National Outdoor?

Our inventory is made up of bulletins, wallscapes, painted wallscapes, and high visibility expressway billboards.

How are National Outdoor Sign locations contracted?

Our locations have leases in place with options ranging from 10 years to 50 years and/or permanent contract options.

What is the turnaround time for installation on your locations?

The advertiser or the agency must supply artwork at least two weeks prior to the installation date. This will ensure completion by the posting date. If we are working on your creative, then the advertiser/agency must approve the final artwork three weeks prior to the posting date.

What is an extension?

An extension is a part of the advertisement that extends beyond the dimensions of the bulletin or wallscape.

What is D.E.C.?

D.E.C. represents the Daily Effective Circulation of viewers in their cars and varies by location.

What are the benefits to the property owner?

A steady income stream with no risk or investment necessary.

Who maintains the ad?

National Outdoor Signs is responsible for all sign maintenance including lighting.
